Anatoli Hotel Fira: A Personal Stay in Santorini
During my vacation in Greece, I spent several days in Santorini, a dream destination for anyone looking to combine stunning views, charming streets, and unique experiences. My stay at Anatoli Hotel Fira in Santorini was a highlight, offering a quiet retreat while still being close to the town’s main attractions.
Staying at the Anatoli Hotel & Spa, instantly felt like more than just a hotel—it was a personal introduction to the island. With Francesca greeting me when I checked in, she shared everything I needed to navigate the town, from bus schedules to directions to the best local spots. This level of care set the tone for my stay.

Prime Location in Fira
The location in Fira couldn’t be better. It is not right in the heart of Santorini’s main square, but it’s a short walk to be close to shops, restaurants, and the caldera. Walking around town is easy and fun—you can explore streets, visit the hotel Atlantis nearby, or grab a casual bite at Lucky’s Souvlaki across from the bus station.
From the hotel, I could easily walk to Fira’s streets or hop on a bus to explore other parts of Santorini. During my time in the Greek islands, I also visited nearby villages in Santorini, like Megalochori and Akrotiri, making the hotel’s location a great base for all these adventures.
Rooms and Amenities
Staying at the Anatoli Hotel & Spa in Fira felt luxurious from the start. I was upgraded to a superior room, complete with a private jacuzzi just outside the door. The rooms are clean, bright, and beautifully designed, preserving the traditional Santorini charm while adding modern comfort. If you are an early riser, it is easy to catch the sunrise, a peaceful start before exploring the island.
Other amenities include the pool and bar open from 9 to 6, and breakfast served on the main floor from 8 to 10. The hotel’s former winery history adds a unique story to every corner, blending elegance and tradition, but we will get to that later.
Breakfast at Anatoli Hotel Fira
Breakfast is simple, fresh, and perfectly suited for starting a day in Santorini. Served on the main floor from 8 to 10, the spread includes local cheeses, Greek specialities, pastries, and hot coffee to energize you before exploring Fira or heading out to do the iconic hike from Fira to Oia, which you must do.
It’s not a huge, elaborate buffet, but the quality and freshness of everything made it feel thoughtful and indulgent, exactly the kind of start I appreciated while staying at this hotel in Fira. And don’t worry, with the amount of walking you can do, you will burn off whatever you eat!
Caves Winery Spa
The Caves Winery Spa is a highlight, built in the very cave where wine used to be produced. Original walls and structures give the spa an authentic feel. The best part? When you go for a treatment, you are the only person in the spa! I started with 30 minutes in the private hot tub and sauna—the sauna was made from old grape barrels. It was a relaxing setting.
My massage and facial were outstanding. The honey and butter scrub left my skin glowing, and the shower afterward felt indulgent. A fresh fruit plate and tea rounded out the experience. I can confidently say the Caves Winery Spa at Anatoli Fira Santorini is not to be missed, and it’s one of the reasons this hotel stands out as one of the best hotels in Santorini.
If you’re planning a day trip to Aegina, staying overnight isn’t required, but it’s worth considering if you want more time to explore the island at a relaxed pace. Here are some top options for accommodations on the island:
